Meet Michael

My name is Michael Lenchis and I am the Owner and Operator of Home Grown Drone Media and a licensed FAA Drone Pilot. I started filming with a drone as a hobby in 2018, and it quickly became one of my favorite things to do. I started traveling more just to film, and showed my colleagues my videos. I have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Management, and at the time I was working for a General Contractor in Colorado on multi-million dollar projects. They loved my videos and asked me to make a few for the company, which you’ll see on this site. A few years and a move to Ohio go by, and I lose my job unexpectedly. I realize now that it was a huge blessing in disguise, because I finally had the push to start working on drone videos full-time. Now, I couldn’t be happier. I would love to share my enthusiasm with you on your project, whether it’s a residential home listing pictures, an airbnb promotional video, or a highlight reel for your business.

I’m from Nashville, Tennessee.

I’m a beekeeper. I catch bee swarms and perform beehive extractions from properties. I process all my own honey and beeswax products, and sell my Bees Know Best raw honey locally in Zanesville, New Concord, and Cambridge.
